    We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our high-performing surgical team. In this role, you will ensure the surgical room is meticulously prepared, maintain the sterile field throughout procedures, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional surgical care in a facility recognized for clinical excellence.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure the surgical room is clean and prepared for procedures by wiping down the room with alcohol at the start of each day.

    + Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all equipment and furniture throughout the day.

    + Assemble, maintain, and protect the sterile field from initial setup through the completion of procedures.

    + Adhere to aseptic and sterile techniques for timely case openings and setups.

    + Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with another team member when applicable.

    Essential Skills

    + Scope processing

    + Decontamination

    + Sterilization

    + Aseptic technique

    + Experience in neurology, orthopedics, robotics, and a variety of standard surgical care lines

    + Cardiovascular experience including Aortic Bypass Surgery, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Cardiac Bypass Surgery, and Valve Replacement/Repair

    + Ability to be on-call

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

    + Certified Surgical Tech (CST) required

    + Minimum of 1 year of cardiovascular surgical experience

    Work Environment

    The surgical team operates in a collaborative environment within a 106-bed acute-care hospital. The work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week (7AM-7:30PM). On-call requirements include weekday on-call from 7PM to 7AM and weekend on-call from 7AM Saturday to 7AM Sunday, or 7AM Sunday to 7AM Monday, with a 30-minute response time. On-call hours are compensated at 1.3 times the standard rate. The hospital fosters a culture of education and advancement, offering competitive compensation and strong benefits.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
