    Description

    + Work with project teams throughout the full preconstruction cycle to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedule, and budget expectations.

    + Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.

    + Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to solicit bids, clarify scope, and maintain competitive pricing.

    + Evaluate project risks, contingencies, and alternative construction methods to support informed decision‑making.

    + Compare cost scenarios and identify opportunities for value engineering or cost savings.

    + Partner with sales and business development teams to review bid requirements and gather necessary documentation.

    + Participate in internal bid reviews, offering insights to strengthen proposal competitiveness.

    + Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure reliability and consistency.

    + Monitor industry trends, market pricing, and material availability.

    + Perform additional tasks as needed to support estimating and preconstruction operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field.

    + 3 - 5+ years of experience in estimating or procurement within the construction industry.

    + 2+ years of commercial construction project management experience (preferred).

    + Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and processes.

    + Ability to interpret technical documents and apply analytical thinking to cost evaluations.

    + Highly organized, self‑directed, and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously.

    + Collaborative and flexible approach to working with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

    + Skilled at navigating changing priorities and maintaining productivity under pressure.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
