    Job Title: Runner

    Job Description

    As a Runner, you will be responsible for transporting samples and related materials to and from clinical departments within the hospital. This role also involves assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the lab departments. You will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of samples to nursing units or clinical departments by hand or via the pneumatic tube system. Additionally, you will collect lab samples from various departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Transport samples and related materials to and from clinical departments.

    + Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of lab departments.

    + Deliver samples to nursing units or clinical departments by hand or pneumatic tube system.

    + Collect lab samples from other departments.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience working in a healthcare or lab environment.

    + Ability to transport samples throughout the hospital.

    + Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

    + Customer service oriented.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in the basement of the hospital, where central processing and patient equipment are located. Runners work closely with the PEMs technicians. This role is highly autonomous, requiring interaction with various departments throughout the hospital

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Palo Alto, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
