    Job Title: QC Microbio/Environmental Monitoring Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as an Environmental Monitoring Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You will be responsible for conducting environmental monitoring in cleanrooms and process areas, ranging from ISO 8 to ISO 5, utilizing techniques such as Viable Air Testing, Non-Viable Particle Testing, Viable Surface Testing, and Personnel Monitoring.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform sampling of utilities, including water, steam, and compressed gases as needed.

    + Conduct laboratory testing, including enumeration of EM plates and water bioburden plates.

    + Perform routine water collection and testing, such as pH, Conductivity, TOC (Total Organic Carbon), Endotoxin Testing, and Bioburden.

    + Carry out Growth Promotion Testing.

    + Perform essential lab support functions, including cleaning-controlled temperature units, such as incubators and refrigerators.

    + Conduct daily chart reading.

    + Maintain familiarity with Biological Safety Cabinet Level 2.

    + Apply aseptic techniques in daily tasks.

    + Maintain the lab area, including routine cleaning of benches, incubators, refrigerators, and Biological Safety Cabinets.

    + Ensure labs are clean and operating in an audit-ready state.

    + Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform work in compliance with cGMP.

    + Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in documentation, microbiology, and quality control microbiology.

    + Experience with sterile techniques.

    + Ability to conduct bacteria testing, viable air testing, particle testing, and surface testing.

    + Testing skills for ISO 8 to ISO 5 cleanrooms.

    + Knowledge of GMP and plating and bioburden.

    + Skills in water collection, pH, TOC, endotoxin, and bioburden testing.

    + Experience in cleaning and maintaining incubators and temperature units.

    + Ability to follow SOPs.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + BS degree in Microbiology.

    + Entry-level candidates are welcome, but experience with bacteria and sterile techniques is required.

    + Prefer candidates with an EM background who can quickly adapt to the role.

    This role involves working in both an office and lab setting, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.QC

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
