Job Title: Level Field Technician (SUE/Survey)Job Description

We are seeking entry-level SUE/Survey Technicians to join a growing team based in Sanford, FL. This is an outdoor position requiring heavy lifting, where individuals will perform most of the labor for the team, including digging, setting up sites, and operating vacuum trucks. This long-term opportunity offers training in the technical aspects of Survey and Utility Locating.

Responsibilities

+ Perform heavy labor including digging, setting up sites, operating vacuum trucks, and site clean-up.

+ Conduct minor maintenance and troubleshoot operating problems on vacuum systems and vehicles.

+ Clean and maintain vehicles, work sites, and equipment.

+ Select and apply appropriate geophysical prospecting equipment for non-complex underground utility layouts.

+ Comprehend and interpret utility and highway design plans, atlases, and record drawings.

+ Complete paperwork, including record keeping and simple mathematics, legibly and accurately.

+ Set up maintenance of traffic as directed, make basic field measurements, and perform geophysical prospecting as instructed.

Essential Skills

+ High school education or GED.

+ Ability and willingness to perform heavy labor.

+ Capability to work outside in extreme heat and weather.

+ Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.

+ Willingness to travel extensively up to 5 days during the week.

+ Willingness to work overtime as needed.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous utility locating or survey experience is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
