    Job Description

    We are seeking an Inventory Counter to join our team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our physical inventory across multiple locations within our facility. This role involves both hands-on inventory counting and utilizing technology to document and report findings.

    Responsibilities

    + Spend 80% of the time walking to various areas of the facility to locate physical inventory.

    + Use a Reach Truck 10% of the time to locate and count physical inventory.

    + Work at a desk for 10% of the time, printing inventory sheets and documenting findings.

    + Receive a list of part numbers, print sheets showing their locations, and check for any physical inventory discrepancies.

    + Count inventory at multiple locations throughout the facility.

    + Use a Reach Truck daily, with harnessed operation, and potentially operate small battery-operated carts.

    + Work with laptops, using Excel and internal databases to manage spreadsheets.

    + Communicate findings daily via email and messenger.

    + Send daily inventory reports to the manager.

    + Report discrepancies to another team for further analysis and adjustment.

    + Maintain high accuracy in inventory counting.

    + Participate in special projects and be open to various tasks within the inventory team.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with forklifts and inventory management.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting.

    + Experience in manufacturing and inventory control.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Computer use and data entry proficiency.

    + Ability to learn and operate a reach truck daily.

    + Audit and quality experience is beneficial.

    + Comfortable working independently on a manufacturing floor, spending 95% of the time there.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is primarily based on the manufacturing floor, requiring standing and walking for the entire shift. Work hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with some opportunities for overtime. The dress code is practical, with safety equipment provided for Reach Truck operations. You will be part of a dedicated counting team, working independently and collaboratively as needed.

    This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
