Welder's Needed on 2nd Shift $21.30/hr!

Job Description

Perform flux core welding on mild steel to construct barges using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques. The role involves reading blueprints and working collaboratively within a team under supervision.

Responsibilities

+ Perform flux core, MIG, and TIG welding on mild steel.

+ Read and interpret blueprints for welding projects.

+ Collaborate with team members and work under the guidance of a supervisor.

+ Ensure quality and precision in the fabrication of structural and stainless steel components.

+ Conduct tack fitting and stick welding as required.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in flux core, MIG, and TIG welding.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and structural steel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous welding experience of 3-6 months is required.

+ Completion of a weld test during the interview process (1-5F).

+ Openness to attending a two-week on-site weld school if offered.

Work Environment

This role involves working in an outdoor environment that can be very hot. Employees must wear steel-toe ankle-high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants. Due to the nature of the work, contact lenses are not permitted. The second shift from Monday to Friday, 3:15pm to 12:45am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
