    **Pay:** **$22–$32/hr** (depending on experience)

    About the Role

     

    Ag Builders of Southern MN is seeking skilled Millwrights to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is hands-on work involving welding, fabrication, machinery repair, and installation on grain bins and grain elevators across multiple job sites. Candidates meet at the shop each morning and travel with the crew (paid drive time).

    Key Responsibilities

    + Weld, fabricate, and repair grain bins and grain elevators

    + Build platforms, handrails, and structural components

    + Install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems:

    + Drive chains

    + Gearboxes

    + Bearings

    + Belts

    + Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics

    + Adhere to all safety standards and protocols

    + Work effectively with a team to meet project deadlines

    Ideal Candidate Has:

    + Good tenure, with ability to provide manager references from prior roles

    + Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar mechanical role

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

    + Proficiency with precision tools

    + Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

    + Experience with MIG and TIG welding

    + Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather

    + Valid driver’s license and good driving record

    + Ability to pass pre-employment screening (including drug screen)

    + Willingness to travel daily from the shop to job sites

    + Fabrication

    + Carpentry or construction

    + Electrical/wiring knowledge

    + Rigging, machinery alignment, industrial repair

    + Forklift operation

    Work Environment

    + Daily travel from the central shop to job sites (paid drive time)

    + Outdoor work in extreme heat and cold

    + Fast-paced environment involving heavy machinery

    + Hands-on welding, fabrication, installation, and repair work

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
