Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This position requires an individual to operate a variety of machines in a dynamic environment. The role involves exposure to CO2 & Fiber Optic CNC Laser Machines, I-Beam Saw Machines, high definition machines, beam line machines, and Break Press. The candidate must be willing to learn and be cross-trained on all machines within the facility, as rotation across different machines will occur.

Responsibilities

+ Operate multiple types of machines within the facility.

+ Participate in cross-training on various machines, including CO2 & Fiber Optic CNC Laser Machines, I-Beam Saw Machines, and more.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and operate machines accordingly.

+ Utilize tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers accurately.

+ Ensure safe and efficient machine operation in a custom fabrication shop environment.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years of industrial machine operating experience.

+ Experience with CNC, blueprint reading, and machine operation.

+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

+ Experience in a metal environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with forklift and overhead crane operation (preferred but not necessary).

+ Familiarity with press brake, calipers, and micrometers.

+ Completion of machining school is considered.

Work Environment

Employees will work a schedule of 4-10s and 1-8 hour shift, guaranteeing 48 hours a week. The 3rd shift runs from Sunday through Wednesday, 6pm - 4:30am, and Thursday from 6pm - 2:30am. The fabrication shop is exceptionally clean and organized, producing custom dryers, coolers, feeders, conveyors, shakeouts, screeners, spiral elevators, and heat exchangers. The environment is non-climate controlled, with a relaxed dress code.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
