Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Job Description
This role involves managing the execution of all outbound shipments from the plant, including service parts, spare parts, finished equipment, intercompany transfers, and expedited shipments. The ideal candidate will assist with scheduling and coordinating domestic and international outbound shipments under the direction of the Shipping Lead.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, assemble, and verify outbound shipping documentation, including packing lists, Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, export and international shipping documents, and Certificates of Conformance when required.
+ Verify shipment details for accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, weights, dimensions, freight class, and destination information.
+ Perform ERP/WMS shipping transactions, including shipment creation, goods issue, confirmation, freight charge entry, and tracking updates.
+ Label, stage, and prepare shipments for pickup, ensuring materials are properly packaged, protected, and identified.
+ Assist with blocking, bracing, and packaging activities for heavy or non-standard shipments, following approved procedures.
+ Support crane-assisted and heavy-lift shipping activities by staging loads, verifying documentation, and following direction from the Shipping Lead.
+ Communicate pickup readiness and documentation status to the Shipping Lead and relevant internal teams.
+ Track outbound shipments and provide status updates, tracking numbers, and proof-of-delivery as requested.
+ Assist in resolving shipment issues such as missed pickups, incorrect paperwork, or minor carrier discrepancies, escalating issues to the Shipping Lead as needed.
+ Maintain organized and auditable shipping files, records, and documentation retention.
+ Support freight claims documentation by gathering photos, paperwork, and shipment details.
+ Follow all OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, IATA, and company safety policies during shipping activities.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area.
+ Support continuous improvement efforts related to packaging accuracy, documentation quality, and shipment readiness.
+ Perform other outbound shipping-related duties as assigned by the Shipping Lead.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
+ 1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
+ Basic understanding of shipping documentation, packing lists, and Bills of Lading.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
+ Ability to follow procedures and instructions in a safety-critical environment.
+ Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
+ Willingness to learn heavy-equipment shipping requirements and compliance standards.
+ Comfortable working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to lift, stage, and support shipping activities in accordance with safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience supporting outbound shipments of service parts or finished goods is a plus.
+ Familiarity with blocking, bracing, and packaging requirements is preferred.
+ Experience using ERP or WMS systems for shipping transactions preferred.
+ Forklift experience required.
+ Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
+ Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
+ Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-functioning environment.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional work on Fridays if shipments arrive. The role involves working in a heavy manufacturing environment where Personal Protection Equipment is required. Candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch as required, and use a portable ladder. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
