Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist** **Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will serve as the final quality checkpoint before a product is shipped. You are responsible for ensuring that products are packed, labeled, and placed correctly for shipping. This role is critical as incorrect labeling can result in products being returned and not billed. You will perform various warehouse activities such as moving, checking, packing, receiving, and shipping inventory. Palletizing products and bringing them to the scan station for verification and shipping will also be part of your duties. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as you will ensure order accuracy through visual checks and scanning procedures. You will utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and receive training on specific equipment. Maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and performing quality control checks when requested are essential aspects of this position. A clean, orderly, and safe work environment is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure products are packed, labeled, and placed correctly for shipping.

+ Perform various warehouse activities, including moving, checking, packing, receiving, and shipping inventory.

+ Palletize products and bring them to scan stations for verification and shipping.

+ Conduct visual checks and scanning procedures to ensure order accuracy.

+ Utilize and receive training on specific warehouse equipment.

+ Perform quality control checks as requested.

+ Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through control procedures.

+ Keep the work environment clean, orderly, and safe.

+ Perform additional warehousing, material handling, and related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Strong attention to detail and quality assurance experience.

+ Basic data entry and computer skills.

+ Proficiency in using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

+ Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers).

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.

+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous warehouse or relatable experience preferred.

+ Bilingual in English/Spanish is a significant plus.

+ Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Experience with inventory management and material handling.

+ Basic computer knowledge.

+ Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, bending, and stooping.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a first shift schedule from 8am to 4:30pm, with the possibility of overtime during peak periods, especially in December. The facility is clean but generally non-climate controlled, with temperatures varying based on the weather. Heat and air conditioning are used as needed, depending on the products stored. The workplace consists of seven separate warehouses, including one in Southaven, and features storage, packing, and distribution facilities. The largest machinery includes forklifts and pallet wrap machines. The environment is quiet, with close-knit teams and managers who know everyone by name, fostering a very personable atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.81 - $16.81/hr.
