Job Title: Solderer** **Job Description
Join our electronics manufacturing team, specializing in military and defense projects, where you will work on circuit boards for night vision goggles used by the US Army and safety technology for coal miners. Your role involves soldering small components and boards for Army/Defense contractors, ensuring that all work meets the highest quality standards. This position is mission-critical and requires precision as the soldered components are integral to government missile systems.
Responsibilities
+ Solder small components and boards for Army/Defense contractors.
+ Read blueprints and work instructions to perform soldering tasks.
+ Execute class 3 soldering, ensuring that work passes quality inspections.
+ Solder active printed circuit boards (PCBs) to customer specifications.
+ Perform soldering tasks through a microscope for precision and accuracy.
+ Follow customer schematics and blueprints meticulously.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in soldering and electronic assembly.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience with IPC-610, J-STD certifications, and surface mount techniques.
+ Experience with soldering through a microscope.
+ Ability to achieve a score of 80 on the soldering test.
+ US citizenship is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ IPC-610 certified, either currently or in the past.
+ Experience with fine pitch and thru-hole soldering.
+ Class 3 soldering qualification, ensuring work is visually appealing and passes quality inspection.

Work Environment
The facility is small and fosters a collaborative team environment. Employees work closely with one another, which requires good teamwork skills. The work schedule is from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 9/80 shift allowing for every other Friday off. The atmosphere is clean, organized, and fast-paced, contributing to high morale and team unity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
