Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role involves both mechanical and electrical maintenance, primarily focusing on troubleshooting and repairing equipment in a highly automated plant. The technician will work on various machines such as baggers, fillers, packagers, photo eyes, sensors, and conveyors. The equipment is controlled by hydraulic or pneumatic parts and PLC systems, specifically Siemens types.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including baggers, fillers, packagers, photo eyes, and sensors.
+ Work with hydraulic and pneumatic controlled machines.
+ Troubleshoot PLC systems and edit code to add stops or new sensors.
+ Handle small scale issues with conveyors.
+ Troubleshoot and repair motors, proximity switches, and photo eyes.
+ Open and troubleshoot electrical panels.
+ Work with VFDs and 480 volts regularly, including wiring and rewiring equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting experience with 3-phase 480V, AC/DC drives, photo eyes, and sensors.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to wire and rewire machines.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
