Foreman – Construction

**Location:** Cedar Rapids, IA & local job sites

**Pay:** Hourly – up to $27/hour, based on experience

**Schedule:** Full-time

Home every night – no overnight travel required

Position Summary

The Foreman is responsible for leading field crews and overseeing daily job-site operations to ensure projects are completed safely,

efficiently, and to quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that works closely with project management to keep work moving on schedule. All projects are local or regional — employees return home every night. No overnight travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead and supervise daily field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects

+ Coordinate crew activities, subcontractors, materials, and equipment

+ Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications

+ Ensure work is completed according to schedule, quality expectations, and safety requirements

+ Perform hands-on construction work as needed (concrete, carpentry, steel, or general contracting tasks)

+ Promote and enforce job-site safety policies

+ Communicate daily progress, issues, and material needs to project leadership

+ Track labor productivity and job-site efficiency

+ Train, mentor, and support crew members

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site

Qualifications

+ 3+ years of experience as a Foreman, Lead, or similar supervisory role

+ Experience in commercial or industrial construction

+ Preferred experience in one or more of the following:

+ Concrete foundations and flatwork

+ Carpentry

+ Steel erection or metal buildings

+ General contracting

+ Ability to read and understand construction drawings

+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

+ Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

+ Valid driver’s license

Pay & Benefits

+ Hourly pay up to $27/hour, based on experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
