Job Title: General Utility Worker

Job Description

Join our team at the EAST Facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI, as a General Utility Worker. In this role, you will rotate through various areas, including sanitation/pack-off, packing, palletizing, or box making. This is an excellent opportunity to gain versatile skills in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

+ Sanitation/Pack-Off: Dispose of extra materials, break down incoming packages, separate trash into appropriate categories, and sanitize machines and containers.

+ Packer: Assist with machine start-ups and disassembly, place finished goods into boxes, inspect goods for defects, and complete necessary paperwork.

+ Palletizer: Inspect cases for proper sealing and labeling, operate pallet jack, assemble and disassemble machinery for sanitation, document findings, and palletize finished boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

+ Box Maker: Maintain boxes and labels, ensure labeling matches specifications, document material movement, and palletize finished boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs continuously throughout a 10-hour shift

+ Ability to read, write, and speak English

+ 1 year of work history in a relevant field

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in production, general production, packaging, and inspection

Employees receive a 2.5% annual raise each January 1st. Overtime is paid for any hours worked over 8 per shift, and you can earn up to $1,200 a week before taxes.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3:45 pm to 1 am, Monday through Friday, with most Saturdays required. The role involves working 50+ hours a week, up to a maximum of 60 hours. You will work in a GMP Food Production Environment, wearing protective gear including an overcoat, gloves, hardhat, earplugs, safety glasses, and non-slip rubber boots. The production floor is refrigerated, maintaining a temperature of 30-40 degrees

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
