Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment—including mills, lathes, and routers—to produce high‑precision components. This role involves basic programming and editing of G & M code at the machine, interpreting technical drawings and work instructions, and performing routine machine maintenance. You will inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools, troubleshoot minor issues, and work closely with team members to meet production goals while upholding quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, and routers.
+ Perform basic programming and editing of G & M code directly at the machine.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
+ Conduct routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
+ Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify quality.
+ Troubleshoot minor machine or program issues and escalate when necessary.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily and long‑term production targets.
Essential Skills
+ Strong machining skills and proficiency in blueprint reading.
+ Ability to perform basic CNC programming at the machine.
+ Experience with CNC machine operation, setups, and changeovers.
+ Solid troubleshooting abilities for machine and program issues.
+ Competence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic understanding of G & M code programming.
+ Experience operating multiple CNC machines.
+ High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
+ Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute in a team‑oriented environment.
+ Basic math and computer skills.
+ Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
+ Knowledge of materials such as aluminum, steel, and plastics.
+ Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
