Job Title: MIG Welder

**Shift:** 2nd shift (2:00PM-12:00AM M-F)

**Pay:** $20+/hr depending on skills/experience

**Location** : Ocala, FL (34474)

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a **Steel MIG Welder** to join our production welding team. The MIG Welder will be responsible for performing **structural MIG welding on carbon steel** parts such as I-beams and hand rails in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to quality, physical stamina, and a strong work ethic.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Perform **MIG welding on carbon steel** components in a structural production setting

+ Weld parts in the **1G (flat) position**

+ Clean welds and remove spatter throughout the shift

+ Set up and operate at an assigned welding workstation daily

+ Lift and position parts on welding tables (some parts **over 50 lbs** )

+ Utilize overhead crane assistance for heavier parts when needed

+ Maintain welding quality and productivity standards

+ Clean and organize workstation at the end of each shift

+ Follow all safety and shop procedures

Products Welded May Include

+ Power line **gambit arms**

+ Ventilation hoods

+ Structural **railings and staircases**

+ Round base plates supporting power poles

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous **MIG welding experience on steel**

+ Ability to weld in the **1G position**

+ Must pass a **visual 1G structural weld test on steel**

+ Capable of lifting **50+ pounds**

+ Ability to keep pace in a production welding environment

+ Comfortable standing and welding for extended periods

Preferred Skills

+ Flux‑core welding experience

+ Basic fabrication skills

+ Prior structural or production welding exposure

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OCALA, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
