Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate, set up, and machine CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts, particularly for the aerospace industry. This role involves working with materials such as Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.

Responsibilities

+ Set up, operate, and machine parts from CNC machines.

+ Perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling.

+ Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

+ Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise manufacturing.

+ Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in machining processes.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with CNC Lathe and CNC Mill machining.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

+ Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.

+ Knowledge of GD&T and prototype machining.

+ Experience working in the aerospace industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with setting up CNC machines.

+ Ability to work with various materials such as Stainless Steel and Titanium.

Work Environment

Work with state-of-the-art new machines in a dynamic environment focused on nuclear energy advancement. This position currently operates six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 7am to 6pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hawthorne, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
