Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform both reactive and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing packaging machinery, filling machinery, blenders, mixers, kettles, pumps, and conveyors. The Maintenance Technician will work with voltages up to 480V and utilize computer-based CMMS systems for scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

+ Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on all machinery.

+ Troubleshoot and repair packaging, filling, and other industrial machinery.

+ Work with electrical systems up to 480V.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Utilize CMMS systems for PM scheduling and repair logging.

+ Conduct set-ups and changeovers for machine operators as needed.

+ Replace and repair drives, fuses, VFDs, sensors, relays, and motors.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Experience with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting in hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial settings.

+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance.

+ Experience working with 3-phase systems and up to 480V electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working in a GMP environment is a plus.

+ Familiarity with blenders, filling machines, and similar equipment.

+ Experience plugging in a laptop to troubleshoot PLCs.

+ Possession of own tools is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Countryside, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
