    Job Title: Wiring Technician (2nd Shift)** **Job Description

     

    The Wiring Technician will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels for chiller and control products ranging from 150 to 550 TONS. The role involves performance testing, providing accurate test reports, and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform point-to-point wiring and component installation, including circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and PLCs.

    + Route and secure wiring neatly to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards.

    + Conduct quality checks and functional testing of panels before final installation.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or component issues to ensure proper operation.

    + Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety investigations.

    + Assist Technical Support with site visits and end of line witness tests.

    + Involvement in quality investigations and structured problem solving.

    + Engage in problem-solving investigations for customer complaints and internal concerns.

    + Conduct all aspects of testing requirements including pressure test, evacuation, charging, refrigeration performance testing, and electrical component testing.

    + Build test rigs and assist with test plans.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field (1+ years).

    + Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for electrical work.

    + Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of pressure testing procedures, leak detection methods, and chiller systems is a plus.

    + Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting preferred.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a large, non-temperature controlled plant environment. Candidates are expected to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop as necessary.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grenada, MS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
