    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with five years of demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment and general manufacturing plant equipment. The role requires expertise in general plant mechanical maintenance, Allen Bradley PLC programming, and a strong electrical and instrumentation background. Candidates should have a solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and basic theory, including AC and DC circuits and equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining circuit breakers, motor control centers, transformers, and working with high-voltage, 3-phase electricity. Fabrication and design experience are essential, along with basic skills in motor, gearbox, pump, bearing, and belt replacement. Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out procedures, confined space entry, PPE, fall prevention, and other safety-related programs is required, as is a thorough understanding of electrical safety.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment and general manufacturing plant equipment.

    + Perform general plant mechanical maintenance.

    + Program Allen Bradley PLC and operate Allen Bradley Panel View systems.

    + Maintain electrical fundamentals including AC/DC circuits, circuit breakers, motor control centers, and transformers.

    + Work with high-voltage, 3-phase electricity.

    + Execute fabrication and design tasks.

    + Replace motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and belts as needed.

    + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety programs such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, and fall-prevention.

    Essential Skills

    + Five years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing packaging equipment.

    + Strong background in Allen Bradley PLC programming and electrical instrumentation.

    + Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and basic theory.

    + Experience with high-voltage, 3-phase electricity.

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience inside a food processing environment.

    + Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues up to 480 V.

    + Experience installing new production equipment such as packaging machines.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Previous maintenance experience inside a food processing environment is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The position involves working inside a food processing facility that runs multiple shifts. Typical work hours are 4 AM to 4 PM or 4 PM to 4 AM from Sunday to Thursday, occasionally on Friday. Another option is 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 3 PM to 1 AM from Monday to Friday, sometimes on Saturday. Expect to work 10-15 hours of overtime weekly.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.35 - $26.35/hr.
