Responsibilities
We are looking for dedicated Social Workers for inpatient case management. Under the supervision of a social worker, you will conduct diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention and psychotherapy, and provide education for patients and their families. You will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team in that collaborates to develop and implement treatment and transition plans.
*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEMP OPT extension program.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a Master of Social Work (MSW).
Additional Qualifications
+ Social Workers are preferred to have an LCSW license, but it is not required in the inpatient setting.
+ Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of treatment, and skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
+ Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
+ Strong human relation skills to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources.
+ Psychosocial diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and in written form.
+ Valid driver's license.

+ Internal candidates must also attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
+ Internal candidates who have not met their current department's 1- or 2-year commitment, must attach an early release from their current supervisor.
International Degrees:
+ A detailed equivalency evaluation is required, demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree.
+ Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) (www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) (www.aice-eval.org).

$62,275.20 - $93,537.60 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
