Job Title: Welder & Fabricator - Repair** **Job Description
Join our team at a leading rail and tank car repair facility as a Welder/Fabricator. This role involves welding mig/flux 20% of the time and fabricating/assembling 80% of the time. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, cutting steel with an Oxy-Torch, fitting up, and tack welding. We seek candidates interested in long-term growth, as they will have the opportunity to become officially certified for railcar repair.
Responsibilities
+ Weld mig/flux 20% of the time.
+ Fabricate and assemble 80% of the time.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Cut steel using an Oxy-Torch.
+ Fit up and tack weld components.
+ Perform overhead welding tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in welding mig and flux.
+ Structural welding experience.
+ Ability to perform overhead welding.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in railcar repair is a plus.
+ Familiarity with fabrication processes and drawings.
+ Production experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility. The shift is from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
