    Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

     

    The PowerFrame Operator is responsible for operating automated grid manufacturing equipment used in the production of battery grids. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production by monitoring equipment performance, performing routine maintenance, eliminating defects, and supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Operators work in a 12-hour rotating schedule within a highly automated industrial environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate automated PowerFrame® grid machinery, including presses, rolling mills, casting equipment, and lead pots.

    + Monitor critical production parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, flow, and material dimensions.

    + Perform coil monitoring, change-overs, and material loading.

    + Start, stop, and adjust machines to maintain production efficiency and product quality.

    + Inspect finished grids for defects, surface flaws, and dimensional accuracy.

    + Eliminate defective parts and follow escalation procedures when deviations occur.

    + Use measuring tools and SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods to ensure conformance to specifications.

    + Accurately document quality checks and production data.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + High mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to use basic mechanic's hand tools, thickness gauges, scales, etc.

    + Flexibility to work overtime.

    + Openness to both day and night shifts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous Injection Molding experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

    Candidates will be working in a lead environment, requiring respirators to be worn throughout the shift. Conditions can be hot, cold, dusty, and dirty, so candidates must be willing to work in all conditions.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FLORENCE, KY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
