    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    The general production worker will be allocated to either the 'make-up' or 'packaging' lines for production, performing essential tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the production line.

    Responsibilities

    + Hand curl and twist dough into the proper shape for croissants.

    + Place twisted dough into designated grids on conveyors for further processing.

    + Pull twisted dough off the conveyor and place it on trays for racking.

    + Pick out excess or broken scraps of dough post-twist.

    + Unload dough from racks and trays after baking.

    + Feed products onto a conveyor for transport to boxing and packaging lines.

    + Pull individual packaged products from conveyors, box them, and stack them on pallets.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production and packaging.

    + Ability to perform quality inspection.

    + General labor skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Good attendance and a positive attitude.

    + Ability to live within a commutable distance.

    + Willingness to be cross-trained in other areas such as mixing dough and operating baking and packaging machinery.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a manufacturing and bakery-style environment where employees will stand on production lines for eight to ten hours per day. You will work near moving conveyors and packaging/baking machinery, which can be loud and generate heat. As part of a large team, you must work well with coworkers and supervisors. This facility adheres to GMP food safety regulations, requiring white clothing to be worn at all times, with all other personal protective equipment provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SMITHSBURG, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
