    Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description

     

    As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory according to system orders. You will load and unload trucks and sea containers, organize incoming stock, and ensure all orders are shipped in full.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a forklift to load merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools.

    + Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise.

    + Track and document exact shipment quantity, conditions, arrival, and departure times.

    + Report any missing or extra merchandise.

    + Prepare all orders for shipment/transfers.

    + Record and manage all hold, aged, damaged, etc., merchandise items.

    + Operate adequate merchandise management tools, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

    + Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of forklift driver experience, preferably within a warehouse setting.

    + Experienced in forklift operation.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Warehouse experience.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Proficient organizational and time-management skills.

    + Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work in freezers with temperatures of 40-55 degrees F.

    + Ability to work alone and with a team.

    Work Environment

    Work is conducted in a warehouse setting with two 1st shifts available. The 2nd shift is from 2 pm to 10:30 pm. The role requires working in temperatures ranging from 40-55 degrees F, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
