    Job Title: Assembly Worker

    Job Description

    As an assembly worker, you will utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts, read and interpret blueprints, and maintain general warehouse upkeep. Your work will involve collaborating with a team of 3-4 people or working independently at a station to complete assemblies. You will also conduct quality inspection checks and perform basic computer operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and organization.

    + Work collaboratively with a team of 3-4 people or independently to complete assemblies.

    + Perform quality inspection checks.

    + Operate basic computer functions for assembly tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

    + Ability to read and understand blueprints.

    + Mechanically inclined with attention to detail.

    + Capable of standing for 8 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in packing, production, general labor, or material handling.

    + Familiarity with RF scanners and assembly line processes.

    + Ability to communicate effectively in English.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic and seasonal temperature changes. The facility has around 30 employees, and is growing. As an assembler, you will work in individual or team settings, building products ranging in size from a computer to 6-7 feet. The role requires wearing jeans, steel-toed shoes, and a vest, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. Some after-hours work and occasional Saturdays may be required to meet production demands.

    This is a Contract position based out of Iowa City, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
