What You’ll Do
* Provide technical leadership and oversee designer work on complex electrical projects.
* Perform quality reviews of design packages and assist with advanced design tasks.
* Interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to support on-site construction.
* Develop electrical designs for power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems.
* Prepare technical specifications and construction documents for bidding and execution.
* Serve as the Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer in project meetings.
* Contribute to project proposals and deliver creative solutions to client challenges.

* Bachelor or higher Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
* Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with ability to obtain in State of Idaho
* At least 10 years of experience with building electrical engineering design
* Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
* Well versed in methods to perform voltage drop, arc flash, short circuit current, and load flow calculations, using SKM PTW, EasyPower or similar modeling software
* Knowledgeable with engineering practices and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware
* Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
* Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
* Ability to perform site punch walk services
Ideally, you’ll also have:
* At least 2 years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
* Semiconductor and/or Data Center/Mission Critical facilities electrical design experience
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or BIM software
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
* Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
* Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
* Passionate about buildings and construction
Other Requirements:
Location:
* This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Boise, ID.
* Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours - nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.
Physical Requirements:
* Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicants must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.

* Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a Visa for this position.
