Job Title: Warehouse Worker (2nd Shift) ($18/hr.)

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Worker on the 2nd shift, working from 1pm to 9pm, with initial training on the 1st shift from 8:30am to 4:30pm. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and verifying incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies. You will ensure the accurate picking and staging of materials for production lines and load finished goods for shipment in accordance with customer and company requirements. We are looking for an individual to start as soon as possible after interviewing.

Responsibilities

+ Receive, unload, and verify incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies.

+ Accurately pick and stage materials for production lines.

+ Load and prepare finished goods for shipment according to customer and company requirements.

+ Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

+ Maintain accurate inventory through counts, documentation, and scanning systems.

+ Ensure proper rotation of inventory (FIFO/FEFO) to maintain product freshness.

+ Store raw materials and finished products in designated temperature-controlled areas.

+ Comply with food safety standards including GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation protocols.

+ Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating forklifts.

+ Experience in inventory management.

+ Skills in picking and packaging.

+ Knowledge in general labor and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience, especially in the food industry, is preferred.

+ Ability to consistently lift 30–50 lbs and stand/move throughout the shift.

+ Basic computer skills or familiarity with inventory systems (WMS a plus).

+ Forklift certification preferred but not always required.

The work environment adheres to GMP standards, requiring no jewelry, fake eyelashes, or piercings. The facility can be cold in certain areas, but jackets are provided for comfort. The floors may be wet, but the area is well-lit and relatively comfortable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.21 - $18.21/hr.
