    Job Title: Welder

    Job Description

    Perform high-precision welding on aircraft components and structures using TIG and other specialized welding techniques. Ensure the structural integrity, safety, and compliance of welded parts with aviation industry standards. Contribute to the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of aircraft by delivering high-quality, inspection-ready welds on thin-gauge aerospace materials, with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and weld sheet metal aircraft components.

    + Use manual TIG welding equipment.

    + Operate resistance spot and seam welding equipment.

    + Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

    + Follow work instructions, manufacturer’s maintenance and overhaul manuals, specifications, Service Bulletins, Air Carrier’s maintenance manuals, or other approved FAA data to ensure proper outcome of repair.

    + Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and intersections.

    + Perform regular and preventative maintenance on equipment and tools.

    + Fabricate or modify fixtures, applying knowledge of shop mathematics, metalworking, and layout.

    Essential Skills

    + TIG welding

    + Sheet metal expertise

    + Experience with aircraft components

    + 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

    + Excellent organizational and communication skills

    + Must pass FAA/DOT Pre-Employment drug test and Personal History screen, also subject to random drug and alcohol testing

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Highly motivated individual

    + A&P license preferred

    + Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

    Work Environment

     

    This role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights up to 50 pounds is necessary. Work hours are full-time, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Uxbridge, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
