Job Title: Mold Maker
Job Description
This role primarily involves the fabrication and repair of tooling used in production processes and prototype development. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining techniques across various materials, and demonstrate a dedication to equipment maintenance and workplace safety. The position also requires interpreting technical drawings and collaborating effectively with team members.
Responsibilities
+ Fabricate and repair tooling for production processes and prototype development.
+ Interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
+ Problem-solve issues with dies and develop effective solutions.
+ Work on shear, punch, manual machines, grinders, and more.
+ Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on dies and equipment.
+ Ensure all dies are progressive and parts are timed correctly.
Essential Skills
+ 5-7 years of machining experience.
+ Proficiency with lathe, Bridgeport miller, surface and OD grinding, CNC mill, CNC lathe, and Wire EDM.
+ Familiarity with Haas, Fanuc, and DMG controls.
+ Required CAD/CAM experience, preferably with Solidworks and MasterCam or similar software.
+ Multi-axis machining experience, including 4th and 5th axis.
+ General metallurgy knowledge relating to cutting speeds, feeds, and heat treatment.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret general prints and specifications.
+ Capability to visualize and plan complete tool builds from stock to finished product.
+ Understanding of work holding for machining and safety.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a combination of sitting and standing, depending on the machine in use. It is temperature-controlled, well-lit, and offers an open space setting. Employees are required to wear pants and closed-toe shoes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $87360.00/yr.
