    Job Title: EVS Technician** **Job Description

     

    The role involves cleaning non-occupied patient rooms, ensuring they are thoroughly disinfected and ready for the next occupant. Each room takes approximately 20-30 minutes for deep cleaning, which includes making beds, flipping mattresses, and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized. The role also involves handling linens, which are to be placed in a large bag and disposed of properly. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning isolation rooms, following strict safety protocols, and employing comprehensive cleaning techniques such as mopping with a string mop.

    Responsibilities

    + Deep clean non-occupied patient rooms, ensuring thorough disinfection.

    + Make beds and flip mattresses as part of the room preparation.

    + Manage and dispose of linens in accordance with safety standards.

    + Clean isolation rooms, adhering to strict safety measures.

    + Maintain communication with patients, nurses, doctors, and housekeeping team.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 6 months of hospital or hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience.

    + Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and staff.

    + Strong customer service skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or home care settings is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    The position is within a hospital setting, primarily requiring solo work, emphasizing the need for self-motivation. The work schedule is from 10:30 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends. The dress code requires no facial piercings, tattoos must be covered, and no heavy jewelry is permitted.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROUND ROCK, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.50/hr.
