    Job Title: Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are looking for skilled technicians to join our team, specializing in building and repairing paint booths within manufacturing and industrial settings. The role involves following blueprints to construct I-beam frames with sheet metal paneling for walls, as well as installing ventilation systems, lighting, and other necessary applications. This position requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting 3-6 months without returning home.

    Responsibilities

    + Build and repair paint booths using provided blueprints.

    + Install sheet metal paneling to create walls for paint booths.

    + Set up and install ventilation systems and lighting.

    + Operate hand tools and power tools effectively.

    + Measure, cut, and install various materials.

    + Execute electrical repairs and installations as needed.

    + Perform welding and fabricating tasks.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.

    + Perform duct work and mechanical services.

    + Engage in rigging and installation tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with sheet metal work and iron working.

    + Proficiency in HVAC, construction, carpentry, and welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.

    + Experience in equipment operation and maintenance.

    + Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 10 and 30 certifications are preferred.

    + Journeyman status is advantageous.

    + Forklift, lift (scissor or boom), rigging, welding, and fall protection certifications are beneficial.

    + First aid, CPR, and AED certifications are a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work takes place in manufacturing facilities, with a schedule from Monday to Saturday, totaling 60 hours most weeks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
