Job Title: 2nd Shift - Machine Operator** **Job Description
Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, the employee will operate as a flexible member of the production team, executing necessary processes to meet quality and output standards. This role involves operating various production machinery to produce high-quality materials for both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
+ Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment, including the Transaction Card Editor & Inspector and die cutter.
+ Maintain the production schedule and communicate any changes in planned work.
+ Handle materials properly throughout the production process.
+ Minimize waste and adhere to safety procedures.
+ Follow all quality and security protocols, including product inspection, splicing techniques, and proper identification, labeling, and disposition of finished and overrun products.
+ Complete necessary paperwork for each job, including recording time, materials, final product count, and packaging used.
+ Enter production data into MRP systems and other databases.
+ Review job specifications to determine desired final product requirements, including product appearance and performance.
+ Verify the accuracy of materials and supplies used to complete jobs to specification, including print plates, print cylinders, inks, coatings, and dies.
+ Examine products for defects and correct issues to ensure quality.
+ Work from blueprints, production orders, and other instructions.
+ Inspect all materials for finished products, identify overrun or leftover products with job and lot numbers, and place them in proper storage.
+ Participate in training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
+ Follow building security guidelines, including handling security products and disposing of waste.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with machine operation and production processes.
+ Familiarity with general production, hand tools, and assembly.
+ Competence in packaging, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Attention to detail in print quality and label placement.
+ Experience with operating a rewinder/slitter to inspect Transaction Card OVD images.
+ Ability to determine product requirements from job specifications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
