Job Title: Boiler Field Service Technician** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Steam Field Service Technician to join our team within our service and repair division focused on hydronic/boiler systems. This role involves extensive travel, with a home base in Deer Park, TX, covering the Midwest, Louisiana, Texas, and the Houston area. The technician will visit customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install boiler systems, including PLC installation, repair, and programming.

Responsibilities

+ Visit customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install boiler systems.

+ Perform PLC installation, repair, and programming.

+ Replace plumbing and mechanical parts related to packaged boiler systems.

+ Document all work orders using company laptops and field software.

+ Interact professionally with customers to understand and resolve issues.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience in HVAC service.

+ Experience with hydronic or boiler systems.

+ Proficiency in PLC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and programming.

+ High voltage electrical skills.

+ Ownership of necessary tools, including metric tools.

+ Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in plumbing and mechanical systems.

+ Experience as a stationary engineer.

+ Strong job documentation skills via field software.

+ Self-starter with excellent customer service skills.

Work Environment

The role involves 95% travel to different customer sites across the Midwest USA, Louisiana, East Texas, and Houston, typically staying on the road for 1-2 weeks at a time. Efforts are made to have technicians home on weekends, though this depends on the schedule. You will be on call one weekend per month. The position includes a company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and gas card, with travel expenses covered. While at customer sites, the technician will interact with customers to understand issues, perform repairs, and suggest plans of action. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a company-provided shirt. The role averages 40-50 hours per week, primarily during day shifts, with Sundays offering automatic double time pay.

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $87360.00/yr.
