    Job Title: Production Operations Technician** **Job Description

     

    As a Production Operations Technician, you will coordinate the assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping of products. Your role involves various manufacturing tasks such as assembling, operating manual and automatic equipment, setting up machines, and testing. You will rotate among different stations within assembly cells, performing repetitive tasks to meet customer demands while using power tools like pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate parts, assembly, test, paint, package, and shipping of company products.

    + Perform assembly and operation of manual and automatic equipment.

    + Set up machines and test unit assemblies and subassemblies.

    + Dismantle unit assemblies and work stations according to work process instructions.

    + Rotate among all stations within each assembly cell to meet customer demands.

    + Repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies.

    Essential Skills

    + 6 months prior production experience.

    + 6 months experience in an assembly-based position.

    + Ability to read, write, and understand instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge in production, assembly, and automotive sectors.

    + Experience in using pneumatic tools and equipment.

    Work Environment

    This role is based in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 270-290 production employees across 13-14 assembly lines. The work involves handling hydraulic components, requiring the use of oil for lubrication. Available shifts are 1st Shift: 6-2, 2nd Shift: 2-10, and 3rd Shift: 10-6. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a t-shirt, and gloves as products often have oil on them.

    This is a Contract position based out of AMES, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
