    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently load and unload inbound and outbound freight from vehicles and containers. This role involves reading and interpreting freight codes, reconciling driver pick-up and delivery manifests, labeling, weighing, and measuring freight, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping of damaged shipments and misrouted freight.

    Responsibilities

    + Load and unload freight from vehicles and containers.

    + Sort freight according to size and destination.

    + Read and interpret freight coding to expedite movement and tracing.

    + Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.

    + Label, weigh, and measure freight.

    + Perform cleanup activities to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock.

    + Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating forklifts.

    + Experience in material handling.

    + Ability to manage and maintain inventory.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Certified Forklift Operator.

    + Experience as an Equipment Operator.

    + Proficiency in conducting inventory counts.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.50/hr.
