Job Title: CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

+ Program, set-up, and operate all CNC machines.

+ Utilize both conversational and non-conversational programs for machine operations.

+ Machine parts according to customer-specific blueprints and drawings.

+ Perform inspections using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.

+ Operate with Fanuc controls.

+ Work with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in operating, setting up, and programming CNC machines.

+ Proficiency in programming machines using conversational and non-conversational programs both offline and online.

+ Experience in machining both small and large parts in a job shop environment.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints and use measuring tools effectively.

+ Must possess own basic hand tools, including micrometers, calipers, hand and power tools, and indicators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Fanuc programming and control systems.

+ Troubleshooting skills for CNC machines.

Work Environment

Work in a robust 25,000 square foot machining facility located in Crest Hill, IL, which houses over 50 CNC and manual machines. This heavy-duty job shop environment is equipped to handle components of various sizes, from small parts to large components exceeding 20 tons. The position offers a first shift schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility for a 7 AM start.equipment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crest Hill, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
