Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician** **Job Description
As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for wiring panels for electrical testing products based on a wire list and diagram. This role requires working with wire gauges ranging from 750MCM to 30 gauge, primarily between 8-18 gauge, and connecting components such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, contractors, and terminal blocks. You will also cut, insert, crimp, and strip wires, install terminals, and label wires with the correct tags. This is not an assembly line position; you will manage the entire sub-assembly independently.
Responsibilities
+ Wire panels for electrical testing products using wire lists and diagrams.
+ Work with wire gauges ranging from 750MCM to 30 gauge, focusing on 8-18 gauge.
+ Connect components such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, contractors, and terminal blocks.
+ Perform cutting, inserting, crimping, and stripping on wires, and install terminals.
+ Label wires accurately with correct tags.
+ Independently manage the entire sub-assembly process.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in wiring panels, including installing pre-wired harnesses and performing check-outs.
+ Ability to use a wire list alongside a schematic to place and wire components on a panel.
+ Proficiency in pulling wire from a rack, measuring, cutting, stripping, and adding ferrules.
+ Capability to identify different wire gauges from 30 awg to 750 mcm.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least 1 year of experience in assembly of electronic control panels and wiring on multiple builds.
+ Ability to work with both small and large parts, and lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Familiarity with tools such as panel wiring, schematics, gauge, wire assembly, power tools, hand tools, mechanical assembly, and blueprints.

Work Environment
Work in a very clean environment within a team of about 8 members, paired with a lead for training. The products you will build are large, requiring the ability to maneuver in awkward positions, including kneeling and climbing on top of units. Work hours are generally 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, with flexibility to start as early as 6:00am or as late as 7am. A consistent 8-hour shift schedule, coordinated with the manager, is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fridley, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
