    Job Title: Deck Builder

    Job Description

    The deck builder will possess skills and perform work that is fundamental to most building construction projects. This role involves erecting wood and steel frameworks in buildings, building forms for concrete, and installing partitions, studs, joists, drywall, and rafters. Laborers will work indoors to install various types of floor coverings, ceilings, paneling, trim, and interior systems. As this role often involves expensive materials, the work must be done with precision and care. The laborer will utilize a wide variety of hand and power tools and must maintain these tools in good, safe working order.

    Responsibilities

    + Erect wood and steel frameworks in buildings.

    + Build forms for concrete.

    + Install partitions, studs, joists, drywall, and rafters.

    + Perform interior work including floor coverings, ceilings, paneling, trim, and interior systems.

    + Maintain tools in good, safe working order.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with carpentry tools and techniques.

    + Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the trade.

    + Experience building decks, garages, sunrooms, additions, siding, remodeling, windows, and doors.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift, climb, balance, kneel, and work in various environments.

    + Willingness to learn and advance in the trade.

    + Advancement potential for those who show leadership and craftsmanship, with opportunities to be promoted to Carpenter Foreman.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
