Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment. Your role will be crucial in responding promptly to maintenance requests to minimize production interruptions. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory is essential. You will assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities. Additionally, you will collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.

Responsibilities

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.

+ Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.

+ Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize production interruptions.

+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

+ Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed.

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.

+ Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance

+ HVAC maintenance

+ Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair skills

+ PLC troubleshooting and control

+ Experience with 3-phase electrical systems

+ Proficiency in using and navigating a CMMS system

+ At least 3-5 years of maintenance technician experience

+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical systems

+ Ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors

+ Understanding of production equipment structure and function

+ Experience with conveyors and conveyor systems

+ Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills

+ Ability to identify and resolve machinery and equipment issues

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing setting that is not temperature controlled. It can be hot in the summer and mild in the winter, especially on the third floor where temperatures can rise due to large kilns. Shifts available include 1st Shift (7:00 am - 4:00 pm), 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) with a $1.50 shift differential, and 3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) with a $3.00 shift differential. Employees will train on the day shift initially. The dress code requires safe and secure footwear, and specific clothing restrictions are in place for safety. Personal protective equipment is required in certain areas, including safety glasses, gloves, masks, and more. Cold vests are provided and are mandatory on the third floor when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
