    MIG Welder

    Job Summary

    We’re hiring **MIG Welders** to support production of **steel and aluminum consumer and industrial storage and climbing units** . This is a **true production welding environment** focused on efficiency, consistency, and quality. Entry‑level candidates are welcome and training is provided within a structured production process.

    What You’ll Do

    + Operate MIG welding equipment to produce steel and aluminum parts

    + Set up welders, make necessary adjustments, and replace wire spools and tips

    + Perform tack welding and MIG welding depending on station assignment

    + Add components to units as required during the welding process

    + Retrieve parts from baskets, skids, or floor and move finished products to conveyors, baskets, or designated stacks

    + Perform visual and periodic measurement inspections using blueprints as a guide

    + Operate grinders to remove excess weld, burrs, and welding wire

    + Record daily production output including part/model numbers and quantities

    + Report equipment or mechanical issues to Maintenance or Supervisor

    + Monitor materials and notify leadership of shortages or production needs

    Welding Environment

    + All welding is **MIG welding**

    + Steel gauge range: **16–12 gauge**

    + 4‑station production line

    + 1st station: tack welding

    + Remaining stations: MIG welding and component installation

    Skills & Qualifications

    + MIG welding experience or training

    + Ability to read and follow blueprints

    + Familiarity with welding tools, grinders, and basic fabrication practices

    + Experience with flux core welding is a plus

    + Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
