Job Title: CNC Machinist (2nd and 3rd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to perform precise and efficient operations on projects with exacting tolerances and high-resolution aesthetics.
Responsibilities
+ Set up machines using methods involving edge finders and indicators.
+ Qualify first piece production through inspections and fine-tune operations.
+ Operate 3 Axis / Fadal, Okuma, Makino, and Mazak Mills, as well as 5 Axis / Hurco and Mikron.
+ Use controllers like Heidenhein, Fanuc, Okuma, Hurco, Makino Pro 5 & Pro 6, and Fadal.
+ Work with both manual and CNC machines in various industries, including Automotive, Aerospace, Energy, Chemical, and Environmental.
+ Collect data from blueprints, plans, and work orders to fill in inspection sheets.
+ Enter instructions into CNC equipment based on programmer decisions.
+ Set up CNC equipment with the correct attachments and parts.
+ Operate and monitor multiple machines simultaneously.
+ Troubleshoot issues with machine programming.
+ Follow safety procedures and regulations.
+ Collaborate with engineers, management, and other team members.
+ Inspect and maintain equipment with preventive maintenance duties.
+ Familiarity with CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gage pins.
+ Use different types of tooling, including endmills, bullnose, ballnose, chamfer mills, and drills.
Essential Skills
+ Mastercam/CAD/CAM knowledge.
+ Ability to work as a team and follow work instructions.
+ Experience in 3 and 5 axis CNC machining.
+ Knowledge of ISO9001 is preferred.
+ Understanding of G and M Codes, machining, and GD&T.
+ Attention to detail and good listening skills.
+ Understanding of the decimal system.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3-10 years of CNC Machining experience.
+ Ability to read blueprints, set up own machine, and inspect parts.
+ High School Diploma is required.
+ Completion of Trade School and 5 years of machinist experience is a plus.
+ Experience in Aerospace and Defense industries.

Work Environment
The work schedule includes 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am. Overtime is available on a volunteer basis and not mandatory. Work in a large production shop that employs over 160 machinists and engineers, using advanced machining equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
