    Job Title:** **Repair Technician

    About the Role

    **Join our dynamic team specializing in the manufacture and service of advanced brake and HVAC systems for mass transit companies** . As a Repair Technician, you will play a key role in repairing and overhauling pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. Starting with brake system assembly and repair, you’ll have opportunities to **earn HVAC certification** and expand your technical expertise.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Disassemble, clean, and inspect equipment to determine repair needs.

    + Perform initial evaluations and document findings in a **Technician Evaluation Report** .

    + Route wires, install crimp terminations, and connectors.

    + Conduct component-level and system-level testing; record and analyze results.

    + Interpret readings from gauges, indicators, and dials.

    + Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration.

    + Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

    + Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

    + Ensure adherence to quality, product safety, and HSE standards.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    + **Experience:** 3+ years in assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

    + Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

    + Familiarity with preventative maintenance and calibration procedures.

    Preferred Skills

    + Mechanical inspection tools and tooling experience.

    + Time management and problem-solving skills.

    + Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word for data entry and reporting.

    Work Environment

    + Physical activity includes sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

    + Shop environment with AWS 4x10 schedule: **Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM** , with occasional Friday availability.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.62 - $25.62/hr.
