    Job Description

    Collects soiled linen, and delivers linens to patient areas when necessary.

    Job Responsibility

    + Assists in soiled linen collection, laundering, and distribution; collects soiled linen from chutes and brings to soiled area.

    + Checks chutes on a regular basis to prevent soiled linen back-up.

    + Inspects linen for stains and tears; routes for rejected linen.

    + Delivers adequate supplies of linen to proper floor units when necessary.

    + Performs rough dry processing; sets correct drying time.

    + Promptly informs the Supervisor of equipment failure.

    + Checks for complete dryness of article before removal.

    + Operates steamer for taking out wrinkles of wash and wear articles such as lab coats, jackets, and pants.

    + Supplies uniform requests on an exchange basis and ensures that employee signature is obtained.

    Job Qualification

    + High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferred.

    The salary range for this position is $26.5611-$29.8538/hour
