We are actively recruiting a Cardiology Inpatient Consult Team - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team.

The Cardiology Inpatient Consult Team Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide cardiology medical care and treatment to patients in the hospital, under direction of physician by ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. The Nurse Practitioner or PA will record physical findings, and formulate plans and prognoses, based on patient's condition to ensure excellent patience care. They will discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

More specifically, the Consult Team APP w orks as a team to cover Cardiology inpatients at Wilson Medical Center. That team includes Attending Cardiologist, Cardiac fellows, and residents on Cardiology service. The team round as a group to discuss patients and plan. The Consult Team APP also collaborates with Cardiology subspecialties (Electrophysiology, Heart Failure, Interventional, Structural, Cardiac Imaging, Cardiothoracic Surgery) and the hospitalist/family medicine teams as well as coordinates cardiac testing, results, and care plans. The Consult Team APP has independence in seeing inpatients and is responsible for writing inpatient notes. The Consult Team APP also participates in the Cardiology APP schedule to cover outpatient cardiology messages.
