In this critical role, the Contract Logistics Wave Planner is responsible for ensuring that customer orders and freight are transported efficiently and accurately between Kuehne+Nagel facilities. Timely delivery and precise fulfillment of customer orders are paramount to our success. To accomplish this, the Wave Planner will work closely with Inbound and Outbound leadership teams, as well as the Production and Control departments and courier services. This collaboration ensures seamless execution of logistics operations, with each stakeholder held accountable for meeting service standards and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Your proactive coordination and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high-quality service that Kuehne+Nagel is known for.

How you create impact

Duites and Responsibilities

+ Responsible for the daily planning of transfer orders based on

+ Current order volume and daily production goals vs one month inventory in one Distridution Center and the majority of the reserve inventory in another Distribution Center

+ Manage shuttle of inventory in a timely manner to ensure smooth production

+ Responsible for weekly service metric review for the facilities and on-time performance of the shuttles, route guide compliance, spot shipment performance, etc.

+ Ensure carrier receipt and response of daily load tenders

+ Track loads and hold carriers / dedicated fleet accountable to on-time pick-up and delivery

+ Communicate frequently with internal / external customers and carriers

+ Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunies

What we would like you to bring

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

+ Minimum of 5 years related work experience in Supply Chain

+ Must possess industry knowledge and terminology, strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to quickly analyze problem situations and make fact based decisions

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office; expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
