Position Summary
The Machine Learning Intern will provide support for Engineering and Automation groups in the Water Solutions Business Unit during the course of the internship. The position will help develop, train, and test machine learning models, gaining hands-on experience in Machine Learning and implementing it to support operations within NGL’s Water Solutions Team.
General Duties and Responsibilities
+ Clean, preprocess, and analyze large amounts of operational datasets for Machine Learning.
+ Assist in designing, writing, and debugging code for ML models.
+ Work with other groups within the Water Solutions Unit on real operational issues.
+ Stay current in ML advancements and new techniques and implementation ideas.
+ Support with integrating models in products or platforms and track their performance.
Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
+ Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and business acumen.
+ Proficient in Python or other coding languages.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.
+ Ability to always work with respect and cooperation with fellow employees and customers.
+ Must be committed to always working safely.
Experience/Education Requirements
+ High school graduate or equivalent at a minimum.
+ Currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or AI/ML specific path degrees
+ Exposure to the Oil and Gas industry a plus.
+ Requires a valid driver’s license.
Travel:

The actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in NGL’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, skill set, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the role.
A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.

Compensation Range
Hourly: $20.00 - $28.00
