Job Description
We are looking for an **Assembly Machine Operator** to safely operate high-speed, large-scale automated assembly machines and perform maintenance, adjustments, and quality checks. This position will be **full-time contract and onsite.** Shift will be Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts, 7:30pm to 6:00am cst
Occasional OT beyond the 10 hours, could be on Fridays.
This is a temp position to help support recent demand at site. Assignment is slated to run through March 2026. This may have potential to extend based on increasing needs.
What You’ll Do
+ Operate assigned high-speed, large-scale automated assembly machines safely
+ Make complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including setups and changeovers
+ Perform quality checks per the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) and document specified measurements per print at required intervals
+ Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance
+ Perform tooling adjustments, such as sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins (pin-out), keying features, bend stations, and insertion stations
+ Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.
+ Adjust housing feed based on associated standards
+ Use height indicators, ram optics, gauges, and microscopic visual checks
+ Identify and re-set machine faults, clear jams, restart production, remove and package finished products
What You'll Need
Required:
+ Strong documentation skills, with attention to detail when recording work or measurements
+ Understanding of basic math, including English and metric measurement systems
+ Ability to count, perform addition and subtraction, and measure product/material dimensions
+ Ability to read and understand English for safety purposes and to process forms
+ Good manual dexterity and the ability to handle small parts
+ Ability to use some power tools and perform light lifting (up to 20 pounds).
+ Good eyesight or appropriately corrected vision
+ Ability to read blueprints
+ 1–2 years of machining experience preferred
+ Introductory experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to read signage, comprehend documentation, and communicate processes effectively for workplace safety and efficiency
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Light lifting (up to 20 pounds)

$17.00 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
