CLOUD FINOPS ANALYST SME

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Cloud FinOps Analyst SME, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. You will play a crucial role by optimizing financial resources, driving operational efficiency, and aligning spending with mission priorities, especially in our cloud-driven environment.

• Lead the financial operations of our cloud environment, ensuring cost optimization, resource efficiency, and alignment with program objectives, while overseeing budgets, usage analytics and cost/usage forecasting.

• Collaborate with Cloud engineers, Program Controls, Finance, and Leadership to drive accountability, minimize waste, and maximize profit for the organization.

• Establish a lab environment that replicates the configuration, resource types, and expected usage patterns of the production environment.

• Utilize insights from monitoring usage data to forecast costs and optimize resource allocation for a predictable, efficient production environment.

• Establish policies, guidelines, and cost guardrails to prevent unnecessary expenditures

• Implement strategies for accurate cost allocation and chargeback mechanisms across teams to promote accountability

• Education: Bachelors Degree

• Experience: 10+ years of related experience

The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
